Accreditation PDF Print E-mail

CAPT is accredited in Clinical Health Psychology by the American Psychological Association (APA) Committee on Accreditation. As of January 2000, our consortium was one of only six accredited postdoctoral training programs in the country. In April of 2001, we became the first in the country to be accredited by the APA as a specialty postdoctoral residency in Clinical Health Psychology.

In 2011, CAPT is seeking APA accreditation as a multiple practice program to include Rehabilitation Psychology.

What does APA accreditation mean to you? The advantages to you are many. You know that you are applying to a training program that meets APA's high standards for excellence. After you graduate, those who evaluate your credentials for professional entry into restricted clinical practice settings such as hospitals, medical centers, and provider panels, as well as licensure boards, professional societies, courts, and other situations where expertise is demanded, will also know immediately that your capstone training was of the highest quality.
